As Director Global Implementation at the ICLEI World Secretariat, Sunandan Tiwari is engaged in strategy formulation, project acquisition and implementation, developing new initiatives, as well as partnership building. He has over 15 years of experience in designing and implementing international cooperation projects with a range of bilateral and multilateral agencies and foundations. With a Masters’ degree in Ecology and over 20 years of experience, his areas of expertise cover social, environmental and economic spheres for sustainable development in the urban and rural domains. Currently, Sunandan is coordinating several projects being implemented in multiple countries in the Global South, one of which focuses on developing actionable strategies and plans for sustainable urban freight.
